Strip laminated bamboo with gold epoxy

My second traditional natural elbow made with a big piece of Cottonwood that I found on January 3 2022 near lake Hodges. Because Cottonwood is a soft and light hardwood I made the boomerang thicker than usual. A big knot was stabilized with green epoxy and the grain was dyed with green aniline dye. A shiny shellac finish makes the colored grain pop! This boomerang flies extremely easy and comes back down with a gentle hover.
