Striplaminate Oak with gold epoxy and black cork inlay

Loyal #30 is a full oak striplaminate with gold epoxy handle. Four black natural cork patches in the handle provide optimal grip for hard throws! Behind the loyal logo is a brass weight that runs all the way through the wing to get more distance. The wing tips are ebonized in a faded way. This pattern is common in light colored birds where the black wingtips can provide better lift due to the thermal differences. Want to know more (link is in the bio). 

Ebonization is not the same as painting or staining. The actual wood is turned black by a chemical reaction with iron acetate. It’s a natural process, doesn’t require harsh chemicals, can’t be scratched up like paint, and still shows the natural wood grain. What’s not to love? 

This boomerang has a wider wing surface so it soars easily and hovers down gently at the end. I can handle higher winds and only requires a medium powerful throw, but if you want to crank it, it will happily get all the way out there!
