Loyal #20
Oak lap joint with Walnut handle
This boomerang is one of my favorites. It’s big, it looks badass and it flies phenomenally. I initially tested the design on cheap plywood before moving on to hard wood. It’s my second lap joint boomerang (first one was loyal #10), meaning two different pieces of Oak were stacked on top of each other at the elbow to create the curve. A piece of reclaimed Fiddleback Walnut was used to create the handle. Three holes in the elbow create extra drag to slow it down and prevent it from laying flat too early in the flight. I especially like it cause it’s the first loyal embedded with the loyal logo. It always makes the cut when I decide which boomerangs to take out cause it’s just so much fun to throw.
