Striplaminate Elm with green amazonite and cocobolo handle inlay

Loyal #32 was made for a legend in the boomerang world, @moledoggy. Moleman came into the boom scene in the 80’s and never left. He held the Aussie round record for 10 years from ‘95 till ‘05 with a monster score of 95 points. In 2016 he won first place craftsmanship and best of show with a strip laminated boomerang. This year he coached Team Time Travelers (USA team 2) during the World Cup in Denver. It was an honor to make loyal #32 for him and to have him as my coach during my first World Cup.

The boomerang is made with American Elm. Elm is a beautiful light colored hardwood and bends easily. This one is decorated with green Amazonite crystals and a Cocobolo handle. 

It has a pleasant, low, 35m flight and comes in pretty fast. It only needs a medium hard throw and requires little wind.
